• Many online games have moved to a freemium model, try before you buy. Fortnight, minecraft etc. Current NFT games have inverted this, forcing players to invest significant capital to play or see gameplay. 
• Yes, scholarships and renting exist but… 
• More so a Pay before game build is now becoming a standard (Star Atlas)
• THrowback to OG console games of needing to buy the cartridge except now you can sell your parts back
• Consider this more akin to investing in game ownership. Players don’t necessarily have to hold NFTs in order to play/earn

• NFT play to earn Axie Infinity is just a digital sweat-shop.

• Social inequity still exists in Crypto and isn’t an equalizer, just same game on a new playing field.
