- What is WAGMI, FUD, gm, wen wen?
- Comparison to ‘someone must lose’ mentality
- Old markets (traditional finance - stock managers, hedge funds, etc) focus/reward beating others, even if it means a negative outcome for all parties. Being first is more important than the market winning.
- WAGMI mentality is widespread in crypto because it’s seen as those in crypto are winning vs trad-fi. Entire market has suffered bear losses where gloating of winning still is pointless
- Risks of ‘someone must lose’ mentality
- Crypto and NFTs are risky and volatile, losing is inevitable given the right timeframe and holdings
- Bigger risk of losing out on next moonshot by not getting word of new projects/news/etc
- End outcome will always result in losing
